FORNEY IDD-II intelligent dynamic flame detector can accurately detect and identify oil flame, coal flame and lignite flame.
IID-IIU flame detectors are used to detect oil and coal flames. The IID-IIL flame detector was used to detect lignite flames.
IDD-II type intelligent dynamic flame detector is used together with FORNEY fire detection amplifier DR-6161E, DR-6101, RM-IDD, IDD-IIIA. When IDD-II flame detector detects flame, its hardware circuit amplifies the pulsating voltage signal generated by the detection element, and the amplified signal is transmitted to the amplifier through a four-core shielded cable. The amplifier processes the signal and outputs it to the burner management system.
The electronics of the flame detector are enclosed in a cast aluminum housing. The amplifier periodically performs a self-test to determine if the flame detector is operating properly.

The Forney PM-DR-6101E amplifier unit is a self-contained intelligent controller consisting of two printed circuit boards (PCBs) placed in a covered base. One of the PCBs contains the combined power supply, relays and output/input (I/O) interface software. The other PCB includes the microprocessor, stabilizer and signal processing electronics. The entire unit can be installed in a single equipment cabinet. The fire detection probes that can be matched include: IDD-II infrared probe with filter, IDD-IIU infrared probe without filter, UV-4 probe, DR-6 IDD/UV probe.

Overview: FORNEY UNIFLAME series flame detectors are microprocessor based flame detectors using solid state infrared (IR), ultraviolet (UV) and dual sensors (IR-UV). Detectors have internal flame relays and adjustable ON/OFF thresholds, so remote flame amplifiers are not required. UNIFLAME\95 series detectors combine the principle and characteristics of FORNEY DPD flame detectors, which can detect the presence or absence of target flame under single burner or multi-burner conditions. The UNIFLAME\95 series detectors detect the modulation amplitude produced by a target flame (i.e., the flicker characteristics of the flame). In the detector setting program, select the modulation frequency characteristic that produces the best flame ON/OFF resolution. It can be adjusted manually or automatically to select the appropriate modulation frequency and detector gain. UNIFLAME\95 series detectors with automatic programming (self-learning) function;21 flame flicker frequency options;4 optional programming files to store set values; remote communication function through the use of FORNEY WINDOWS 95/98/NT based user application software. All UNIFLAME\95 detectors require 24VDC power, are equipped with 12-pin quick connect connectors, and have electronic self-test capability (mechanical shutter is no longer required). The detector has an 8 digit/letter LED display and 4 buttons for easy user viewing of operating parameters and selection of settings.

Application:

IR type: Includes an infrared flame sensor suitable for oil and coal fuel conditions. UV type: Includes an ultraviolet flame sensor suitable for both gaseous and light fuel conditions.

Type DS: (Dual Sensor) Includes both infrared and ultraviolet flame sensors as described above. This sensor is suitable for multi-fuel situations.

Uniflame series as above Installation accessories: mechanical accessories plate mounting flange (required) Whether the detector is direct-view installation or fiber-optic installation, plate mounting flange is required. The external interface of plate mounting flange is 1 NPT female thread, and the material is hard aluminum. Universal joint (optional direct view) The universal joint of the detector is used to adjust the viewing angle of the detector after the detector is installed. Insulation tube (required for direct viewing) Insulation tube is to prevent heat from passing from the hot observation tube to the detector and electrically insulate the detector from the ground. The corresponding sight tube is ordered together with the mounting flange. Quartz window (optional direct view) Quartz window, used when the detector needs to be sealed or connected. Quartz window blocks furnace pressure, hot gases and soot from approaching the detector or contaminating the lens. The gauge is 1 inch U.S. standard taper thread. When sealing is required, use a 1-inch tee connection for cooling air. Fiber optic assembly (fiber optic type required) Fiber optic assembly includes outer conduit assembly, inner conduit assembly, fiber optic assembly, furnace wall installation assembly. In the boiler with complex burner structure and multi-burner combustion, the flame flashing signal can be transmitted to the outside of the furnace by optical fiber assembly, which is convenient for monitoring by detectors. Electrical accessory detector cables FORNEY offers 12-core foil fully shielded cables for UNIFLAME\95 series detectors. This cable consists of 6 #18 AWG and 4 #22 AWG wires plus a twisted pair of #22 AWG wires. Cable jacket is a treated polyolefin material,(flame retardant, low, zero halogen)* major diameter 0.43 (10.9mm). Each detector * cable length can be up to 1000 feet. This raw rubber cable requires the quick-fit connectors described below. Quick connect UNIFAME\95 series detectors come with 12-core cable male connector, FORNEY can provide matching cable female connector, easy to install on site. Refer to Aviation Plug Attachment Manual. Cable with adapter FORNEY offers prefabricated 12-core cables of pre-determined length with female connectors. The attachment ranges in length from 10 feet (3m) to 300 feet (91m). Junction box assemblies If remote communication is required, and the distance between UNIFAME detectors and the control room exceeds 200 feet (61 meters), a junction box is required for each detector. In the junction box, two communication wires must be connected separately from the 12-core cable, in a loop, connected in series (daisy chain) to each detector, and then to the computer.

FORNEY junction box assemblies, ranging in length from 3 to 30 feet (0.9 to 9.1 meters), provide convenient wiring options. At one end of the junction box there is a quick connect connector to the UNIFAME detector. FORNEY 12-core cables are shipped with quick-fit connectors, flexible cables that can be connected to another terminal in the junction box. Terminals can be connected to 14AWG wire and are quick and secure with press-in clamp connectors. Through the junction box, the installer can connect all the wiring, but the two wires in the FORNEY 12-core cable to the burner management system are not connected. The two communication cables from the detector must be connected to the upper and lower junction boxes, and finally reach the computer through the two-core communication cable. 24VDC Power Supply FORNEY provides 24VDC power supply for 95 Series flame detectors. 40111
